Arifah Cupido

Assalaamu Alaykum (Peace be with you), I am fortunate and privileged to be a constituent of the full-time teaching-team at the first Muslim Kindergarten in New Zealand for the past three years, Alhamdullilah (Praise be to Allah).

I am an overseas-trained, qualified and experienced primary school teacher from Cape Town, South Africa, who immigrated to Wellington, New Zealand, with my family about five years ago. My past work experiences included working for many years with people of different races, cultures, religions and nationalities, in the fields of nursing, teaching and retail-administrative management. I have also recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education course to upgrade my knowledge and skills in the Early Childhood Education sector.

I am passionate about teaching, love working with people, especially children, have a keen interest to broaden my knowledge and experiences in the teaching-profession, become a dynamic-teacher, and be of greater service to the community, Inshallah (As Allah wills).
